After two successful record attempts in the past two years, we’re going for three in a row, but there will also be time for Funside Funfair, Lasertag and Beach Party.
The popular Records Week is already a Week 4 tradition at Funside, so this time we are attempting to break a new local record. Our campers still hold two national records officially recognized in the state of Hungary (the cup song record from 2014, as well as the song lyrics performed by sign language record from 2015), so we will try our utmost to make this a hat trick, and set a new one in 2016! We promise it will be just as ambitious as the previous two, but we will keep the details secret for now.
The week’s activities will be started after Monday’s classes by the World Records Day, when our campers get to try their hands at real Guinness World Records, attempting to break individual and two-person records, as well as the surpassing our own Funside accomplishments from the previous two years. This will be no small task, as there we witnessed some pretty impressive results in 2015! After the individual records, we will try another group record, similar to last year’s hugging world record attempt. You may be familiar with our Invisible Exhibition activity from last year, which returns on Monday evening, but this time full of new riddles and an unexpected twist!
On Tuesday afternoon, it is time for a mega Lasertag battle, when the Empire and the Rebels fight it out again after Week 2’s similar event. Who will win this time? Tuesday evening brings a more relaxing night, as our campers get to pick between fun activities at the game night or chilling and singing by the campfire. After Wednesday’s classes, bring on the Funside Funfair: our crowd favorite, with big time games such as the human foosball, the rodeo ball and the sweeper game, as well as funfair treats for the most active game players. This activity is followed by movie night, with a choice between an animated movie in the Theater Hall, or a classic adventure film at our vintage open-air cinema.
Our signature Great Record Attempt is scheduled for Thursdays afternoon. This will once again take quite a bit of effort and preparation, but as always, the uplifting feeling of setting a new official record makes up for all the hard work and the end result speaks for itself! Friday afternoon’s Beach Party will round off what is promising to be an intense week full of great experiences, closed by Friday night’s recitals and Saturday’s camp closing ceremony.
