About the education
During this activity, we visit the Hajdú Zoo in Keszthely, where we spend 110 minutes per day getting to know the animals and the basics of animal care. We learn how feeding works, how the animals’ environments are maintained, and how daily tasks are coordinated, while discovering many interesting and exciting facts about the animals, their habits, and their needs. In the practical part of the program, you can try yourself as a real animal caretaker and experience how the care of a diverse group of animals is organized, as well as how a full day at the zoo is structured.
The classes are led by experienced animal caretakers, and the small-group format allows everyone to actively take part in the activities – the most enthusiastic campers may even receive extra tasks.
During the second 110-minute block in the morning, the zoo experience can be combined with another class, while in the afternoon plenty of free-time and interactive activities await you back at the camp.
