Challenges await our campers during Week 1 of this year’s camp, including the Battle of the Teams, where groups will need creativity and team spirit to win the Funside Cup!
The 2017 Funside Balaton camp begins a week later than usual, staring on July 9th, with the week’s focus on challenges: teams will be battling for points throughout the week through creative puzzles and games, as well as trying an exciting new challenge virtually every day. As part of our Battle of the Teams activities, the most successful groups will have their team names engraved on the Funside Cup, as well as winning some exciting prizes.
Following Sunday’s Camp Opening Ceremony and other games, and the first classes of the week on Monday morning, Monday afternoon begins with our popular Scavenger Hunt activity, where teams will compete for valuable points through surprising and fun tasks, requiring team effort and creativity. The day ends with our Game night, where campers get to choose from several interesting games and activities, including our Dance Central tournament, the beauty saloon or the campfire.
Teams start preparing for the Light Show on Tuesday, where every group puts together a creative choreography for their song of choice, using multi-colored glow sticks, resulting in an unforgettable visual experience in the dark. Our World Records Day has been moved to the evening time period for 2017 but its essence remains unchanged: campers will get to try real Guinness World Records, possibly breaking one of our Funside records from previous years.
One of our most popular activities takes place on Wednesday: a trip to the aqua park is virtually everyone’s favorite, with as many as eight giant water slides and several pools at the nearby Sarvar water park, where we are travelling to after lunch and coming back to the camp venue in the evening. The teams’ competition continues on Thursday with our brand new Game of Life activity, where our campers will find themselves in a real-life board game.
Our Beach Party activity returns on Friday afternoon, where we turn Lake Balaton into a carnival with Hawaiian flower necklaces, music and lemonades. In the evening, the Battle of the Teams winners are announced, before our dance campers take the stage for their recital, followed by the session-closing teen disco. The week ends with our photo slideshows on Saturday morning, when all our campers get their ceritificetes, before saying goodbye – but only until next time!
