Camp fees 2026
The Funside Balaton camp standard fee includes 2 standard fee classes of your choice (see full list of standard classes here), as well as the meals and accommodation, all the afternoon and evening activities (including those outside the camp venue), camp medical assistance, camp T-shirt and camp photos (full list: what is included in the camp fee). Each week (camp session) starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday (7 days, 6 nights). The discounts listed below (returning discount, early bird discount) are applicable for individual sign-ups only – company or school groups please get in touch for group offers (contact)!

Register now, pay later
Example: paying the standard camp fee (with early bird & returning discount) in 4 installments = 4 x EUR 159.75, paid by debit or credit card, with 21-day intervals between the installments (please see detailed conditions below).
All fees are in the form of person / week (session). Payment in Euros is possible directly at the prices fixed at the beginning of the season, as listed here. “SZÉP card” cafeteria benefits card payment is accepted (learn more). *The returning discount is available to those who have participated in at least one session of the Funside Balaton camp in previous years, as well as their siblings (in the case of the same household and the same payer). Cancellations: if the cancellation occurs at least two weeks before the session start, a 95% refund of the camp fee is available, with a 5% administrative fee deducted from the total camp fee (detailed cancellation conditions).
Additional week discount
Depending on availability, the second and all subsequent week (session) can be selected at a discounted price. If you choose several consecutive weeks, the camp fee also includes the Saturday night in between the weekly sessions (+7 days and 7 nights per stay, with departure on Saturday). Payment deadline: after receiving confirmation of your sign-up, the first installment – or the full camp fee in case you chose to pay in one sum – must be paid within 21 days of the date of the payment request (i.e. pro forma invoice) received by email. After that, you will receive a payment request by email every 21 days for each additional installment.
Other discounts & conditions
Additional week discount (conditions)
The second and all subsequent weekly sessions are available at a discounted price. The discounted fee includes all costs for the Saturday between weekly sessions. Stay for 2 or more weeks and try 4 or more different classes!
Conditions: the price for “all additional weeks” applies to the same camper (i.e., the same person: one arrival and one check-in), and paid for by the same person. It cannot be combined with other discounts (unless specifically indicated). If you purchase two (or more) sessions using the “additional week discount” and cancel the first session at full price, your eligibility for the discount will be lost and the refund amount will be determined accordingly. Paying in multiple installments via bank card (conditions)
You can select payment by debit or credit card in installments on the sign-up form, under the Means of payment section. Number of installments available: 2, 3, or 4. We will send you a separate pro-forma invoice (payment request) for the selected installments.
- You can choose 4 monthly instalments for registrations submitted by March 31, 2026 on the sign-up form.
- You can choose 3 monthly instalments for registrations submitted by April 30, 2026 on the sign-up form.
- You can choose 2 monthly instalments for registrations submitted by June 10, 2026 on the sign-up form.
- After June 11, 2026, only single amount payment can be chosen for the 2026 summer season.
The installments must be paid within 21 days of each other.
Each installment can be paid with a SZÉP card, but the payment method cannot be changed within the same installment.
Installment payments by bank card can be used for the standard camp fee and additional services. (If only additional services are paid for, installment payments can be selected for invoices exceeding HUF 60,000 or EUR 160.)
Group discounts
Groups of 10 campers or higher may apply for extra discount. Please get in touch for more details.
"Discovery" discount for our Budapest day campers
If your child hasn’t attended our Balaton camp before, but has previously joined one of our Budapest day camps, we’re offering you a one-time discount coupon worth HUF 20,000 or EUR 50, which can be used for one camp session (compared to the early bird price).
- The coupon can be used within 2 weeks from the start of the registration period. The coupon code has been sent to our Budapest day campers from 2025 via email – get in touch if you haven’t received it yet!
- This discount is valid for one-time use only and can be combined with the early bird discount, but cannot be combined with any other coupons or discounts.
SZÉP card acceptance
The camp fee can be paid in part or in full by SZÉP cafeteria card (a cafeteria option available by employers in Hungary).
Premium class fees
If instead of any standard class, you would like to choose one or two premium classes (such as Sailing, Horseback Riding, Golf etc.), then the extra cost of the premium class is added to the standard camp fee. The premium classes – and what the premium fees – can be found here:
Native English classes

You may choose up to two premium classes each week. The fees are then added up as follows:
standard camp fee + extra fee of 1st premium class + extra fee of 2nd premium class.
What is included in the standard camp fee?
- Classes: the camp fee includes 2 standard fee classes per weekly session (one or both of which can be changed for a premium class)
- Accommodation: 7 days, 6 nights accommodation per session, and in case of multiple consecutive weeks, the Saturdays in between
- Meals: three main meals a day (including hot lunch and dinner prepared on-site or, upon request, special allergen-free menu from an external supplier), additional snacks (“snack point”) and fruits during the morning activity breaks, as well as continuously available Garai Pi-water
- Activities: the camp fee includes the cost of all afternoon and evening programs for the given week, including tickets and travel to the external programs
- Medical supervision: camp doctors (who may be medical students, doctors, or paramedics) are on duty at the camp to ensure the safety of our campers.
- Camp T-shirt: a Funside Balaton T-shirt for each camper, per weekly session
- Camp photos: we have two professional photographers on site at all times, taking pictures of all activities – at the end of each week, we assemble 1000 to 1500 of the best photos, which are available as a free digital download to all our campers.
- International environment, professional organization, and lots of experiences!
The standard camp fee does not include the following:
- Premium classes: if instead of any standard class, you would like to choose one or two premium classes (such as Sailing, Horseback Riding, Golf etc.), then the extra cost of the premium class is added to the standard camp fee.
- Travel to and from the camp: the camp fee does not include the travel costs to and from the camp. (Learn more about travelling to and from the camp.)
- Travel and accident insurance: it is essential for foreign citizens to have valid health insurance for the duration of the stay.
- Spending money: for use at the additional snack bar or at the beach.
Optional extra services:
- Travel options: bus group from Budapest to the camp and back, or airport transfer options. (Learn more about travelling to and from the camp.)
- Extra day: if an extra day is required due to the date of travel (1 day before or after the weekly session), the price of the extra day, including full board (three meals) is EUR 53 or HUF 19 990 per person. (Subject to prior reservation and availability.)
- Cancellation guarantee costs EUR 25 / person / session and can be requested at the time of sign-up. (Detailed conditions)
Means of payment
- By bank transfer in HUF or EUR via your own bank (national and international bank details are sent via email to the email address provided in the online sign-up form)
- By debit or credit card, provided by Teya (formerly Borgun, more information)
- By SZÉP Card cafeteria card, only in HUF, via the online interface of the bank issuing of the card (more about paying with SZÉP Card here)
- By cash, at any K&H bank branch in Hungary (full list available here) equipped with a cash desk or ATM machine that accepts cash deposits, by making a direct payment to the Funside Association’s account (the information required for the payment will be sent in a confirmation email after signing up)
Cancellations
Cancellation policy
Summary: if the cancellation occurs at least two weeks before the session start, a 95% refund of the camp fee is available (with a 5% administrative fee deducted from the total camp fee). After this point, the cancellation is considered late, and the refund amount is determined on a sliding scale based on the timing of the cancellation. However, even in such cases, a 95% refund is possible if a new camper takes over the spot. Detailed conditions
Cancellation guarantee
Summary: the cancellation guarantee provides more favourable conditions in case of a late cancellation than the traditional cancellation conditions that have been in place for years. In case of cancellation in the days before the camp session, for example, instead of a partial refund of the camp fee, it offers other options, such as choosing another session or using the camp fee for a later session (the conditions depend on the time of cancellation, the detailed conditions can be read here).

Deadlines for signing up: availability for our camps is limited and places are filled up on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up early to ensure your place for the desired camp.
