Music has always played an important part in our camps, but for the first time in Funside history, we are dedicating a weekly theme solely to pop & rock music!
Incorporating musical elements into our camp program is no stranger to us, but this time many afternoon and evening activities will revolve mainly around music. Monday’s popular Game of Life, which made its camp debut in 2017 and features a life-sized board game for campers to navigate through, will include many musically inspired stations. Tuesday sees the return of a classic Funside Balaton activity, the Battle of the Music Videos, where groups create their own music video for a song of their choice and the most creative ones receive prizes. Music will also be front and center during Tuesday evening’s Teen Disco and Karaoke Night.
On Thursday, the whole camp will work together to complete this year’s only Lip Dub Music Video Challenge, where every camper’s creativity is needed to shoot our very own camp music video, without any editing! (See how it turned out in previous years!) On Friday, the band of our Music Campers will put on a live concert in front of the entire camp, before our DJ Campers perform their sets as part of the Closing Night.
Week 4 also features our big time Crazy Sports Day activity, where older campers (13 and up) can try Archery Tag, younger ones can have fun on our Adventure Course, while everyone can play Water Football and try the Sweeper Game. Friday afternoon is all about the Beach Party with beach mattresses, lemonades, palm trees and a camp DJ set right by Lake Balaton.
