Funside Balaton turns into a truly magical place for Week 4, with some wizard and Harry Potter-themed free time activities joining our classic Funside games throughout the week.
The theme of Week 4 is Wizarding School, where magical creatures and activities are around every corner, starting with our Camp Opening Ceremony on Sunday, which will be anything but usual this time! With groups assigned to one of 4 legendary houses, our campers will compete for the House Cup across multiple activities throughout the week. After Monday morning classes, a special wizard-themed edition of our Scavenger Hunt will be the first opportunity to score points for your team, with surprising and fun tasks testing the team spirit and creativity of every group. The day ends with our International Game Night, featuring games inspired by the cultures of other nations, as well as some of our most beloved Funside games.
There is no session without sports and there isn’t a more magical sport than quidditch, so naturally we are organizing our own Quidditch Tournament, with play-offs starting on Tuesday afternoon, and a grand final on Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon is also about the beach, as well as many other free time activities to choose from. World Records Night takes place on Tuesday evening, where each station hosts a real life Guinness World Record for anyone to try, while Funside camp records will also be noted and those who manage to break one of our previous years’ camp records are in for some special prizes!
On Wednesday afternoon, after the classes, it’s time for the Funside Funfair, one of our biggest afternoon activities, which is only held in Week 4. This year’s funfair features the all-popular Sweeper Game, as well as the Human Foosball game, Sumo Wrestling, Rodeo Ball, as well as the brand new Adventure Slide, an inflatable obstacle course ending in an great slide. On Thursday afternoon, it’s finally time for Harry Potter day: a wizard-themed afternoon with several fun stations and games with something for everyone. After a long day it’s always great to cool off at our open-air cinema playing a crowd-favorite movie.
Friday afternoon marks the return of the Beach Party, a fun afternoon at the lake with music, lemonades and great atmosphere. Before the evening’s closing party, groups will get to see our art campers’ exhibition, our dance campers recital and our music campers live concert as well. On Saturday morning, our Camp Closing Ceremony rounds up another memorable week of camp at Funside Balaton.
