Meals at our day camps
Available meals and special diets
Our day camps provide three meals a day (breakfast, hot two-course lunch, afternoon snack), as well as fresh fruits and drinking water throughout the day. Special meals are also available on request, as listed below. Any of the following menus can be chosen at no extra cost.
Lunch
Most of the lunches - e.g. most of the meals, such as the regular and vegetarian menus, are prepared in a local kitchens nearby.
- Buda (Villányi Street / Premier Padel Park) venue: lunch is provided by the restaurant of the Park Tennis Club, located at the venue
- Pest (Jászai Mari Squatre/ Margaret Island) venue: lunch is provided by the nearby Blue Tomato Restaurant.
Special menus that cannot be prepared at the above location - especially cross-contamination-free meals - are delivered to the camp daily from special external suppliers.
Breakfast and afternoon snack
For breakfast and afternoon snack, we provide a variety of premium quality sandwiches throughout the week, as well as pastries, fruit, yoghurt, etc. (these vary from day to day). Sandwiches and pastries are provided by Tramezzini for our campers (learn more).

New in 2026: New Special-Diet Meal Provider
This summer, the Funside Day Camps are expanding with a new special-diet meal provider: at Bocsi Viki’s Kitchen, all meals are prepared using gluten-free ingredients, and are free from dairy, sugar, soy, and corn, with no added additives. Please note that other areas of the kitchen do not operate fully gluten-free, so in cases of medically diagnosed and severe gluten intolerance (celiac disease), this must be carefully considered. For this reason, campers who require the strictest level of separation, including a fully separate kitchen and meals free from any risk of cross-contamination, will continue to receive their meals from Food Express’s specialized kitchen.

- Lactose-free menu (takes lactase enzyme supplements, on site regular menu is OK)
- Lactose-free menu (from an external kitchen, provider: Bocsi Viki's Kitchen)
- Milk protein-free menu (from an external kitchen, provider: Bocsi Viki's Kitchen)
- Gluten-free menu (non-celiac, so cross-contamination is not a problem; medical certificate required, provider: Bocsi Viki's Kitchen)
- Gluten-free menu (celiac*, cross-contamination-free menu necessary; from an external kitchen, medical certificate required, provider: Food Express)
- NON-severe allergy to peanuts or other nuts (may eat food labelled 'contains traces of nuts')
- Other special dietary needs - if feasible (contact and doctor's note necessary)
*Important note in case of celiac diet: please note that campers eat in the same place as other campers, so even in the case of cross-contamination-free meals prepared in a separate kitchen, it is not 100% certain that gluten is not in the air.
Unfortunately, none of our providers can offer the following meals, so they are currently not an option:
- Cross-contamination-free meals for campers with severe (!) allergies to peanuts or other nuts
