Board games come to life for Week 3, while a trip to the aqua park and a unique new lip dub music video shoot will also take place in this session.
During Week 3 of the 2017 Funside Balaton camp games will be up, front and center with many exciting new free time activities for our campers to try. Following the Camp Opening Ceremony and team building activities on Sunday, on Monday afternoon the camp turns into a real-life board game for our Game of Life activity. Groups will have to navigate a life-sized board and game items in order to solve puzzles and score points, with the winning team claiming exciting prizes. Monday evening sees the return of our Game night, where campers can choose from several fun stations with games, puzzles and other activities, and we’ll also host our traditional Dance Central Tournament and our Campfire as well. On Tuesday afternoon we’ll head to the Beach, while in the evening campers can choose between our open-air Teen Disco and our super-fun Karaoke Party.
On Wednesday it’s Aqua Park day, when we leave the camp venue right after lunch time to spend the entire afternoon at the nearby Sarvar aqua park, where 8 giant water slides, several large pools, as well as smaller slides and other fun facilities provide something for everyone to enjoy. We make our way back from the park after dinner. On Thursday it’s time for our traditional Lip Dub Music Video Shoot, which will only be held during Week 3 of this year’s camp. Groups will create their own choreography to parts of a song, but there is one rule everyone must be aware of: a lip dub video is created without any editing, so it requires great team effort and concentration from close to 300 people to get it right in just one shot! Watching the final result of our efforts on Friday evening is always a cathartic experience for everyone involved in the making of it. We can already say that this year’s video will not be anything like previous ones, as we have a big surprise planned – but more on that later.
Inspired by our weekly theme, Thursday evening will be Board Games Night, where our campers get to try a large selection of the latest and greatest games available. There is also a surprise in store for our English campers, as this week’s group projects will be different from all previous ones, and also connected to the theme of the week. On Friday afternoon, we’ll have our only Reversed Day in 2017, when kids can try one class that they did not choose for the morning periods of that week. It is shaping up to be a busy Friday evening with the premiere of the lip dub video, recitals, awards and our traditional Closing Party all taking place, before we re-live the best moments of the week through our favorite photos and weekly video on Saturday morning, and say goodbye to Week 3.
