This year’s first session kicks off with the Aqua Park, Bubble Football and a Lip Dub music video shoot, while Euro 2016 will be celebrated by our own Football championship.
Funside Balaton opens its doors to campers for this first time in 2016 on July 3rd, with our Euro 2016-themed Week 1. We will start the week off with a spectacular Bubble Football afternoon, followed by some much deserved beach time at Lake Balaton. On Monday evening, groups will show off their Minute to Win it skills in our very own Road Challenge game night.
As our opening session overlaps with the closing week of the UEFA European Football (or soccer to our friends from the US) Championships (which is a big deal in Europe), we have quite a few exciting activities planned around this big event. On Wednesday and Thursday we will be screening the semi-finals live to anyone interested in keeping up with the matches, but naturally we will have our fair share of the games too. Our very own Funside Euro Cup will be held with play-offs starting on Monday, culminating in a big time Final on Thursday, with a few surprises in store. We are also introducing our new Euro Game Night, where each station will represent a different European country.
One of our campers’ favorite activities is no doubt the visits to the Aqua Park, the first of which will be held this week. Bring on the slides, swimming pools and endless water fun! Another highlight of Week 1 will most likely be the Lip Dub music video shoot, which turned out so great last year, it still brings back some really fond memories of last year’s camp. We are all surely looking forward to what this summer’s groups will cook up for our next big video!
As our returning campers may very well know already, our Reversed Day is when everyone gets to sample to try a class that they didn’t pick for the morning sessions, trying their hands at a new sport or a form of art they had never experienced before. Who know, it might just be the next class they choose next time around! Finally, Saturday means camp closing ceremonies, photo slideshows and emotional goodbyes. On to Week 2!
