At our Robotics Camp at Funside Balaton, especially created for our older students (12 to 17), we are using LEGO Education’s Mindstorms EV3 platform, designed for developing problem-solving and critical thinking in relation to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects. During our 2-hour classes, participant build and code a different LEGO robot from the Mindstorms set each day, completing a total of 5 different projects throughout the week. Programming is done through LEGO’s own EV3 visual programming language, using fundamental coding concepts and basic algorithms. Students work in groups of 3 to 4, dividing sub-tasks and cooperating in problem-solving.
No previous experience needed. For our younger students (8 to 12), we recommend our Robotics: LEGO Boost camp.
