About the education
Funside Balaton has always been international, with close to two dozens countries represented at the camp each year. Families with Hungarian roots, children with Hungarian ancestors, as well as expatriates living in Hungary regularly reach out to us precisely because of our Hungarian as a second language program for children. Our classes are not only fun and tailored specifically for the needs of this age group, but also include cultural elements beside the language. We also have beginners’ groups every week.
At the Funside Balaton Hungarian Camp, we work with our own project-based curriculum, so all learning material is provided by us. Classes take one 110-minute lesson each day, Monday through Friday, in small classes (4 to 8 students per class), based on language level and age. If you would like to combine your Hungarian class with another subject, for instance Windsurfing, then you will have one 110-minute class of Hungarian and one 110-minute class of Windsurfing every day.
