About the education
At our DJ Camp you will start by covering the short history of mixing music, the basics of the most important musical genres and the know how of the DJ’s equipment. After the introductory phase, you will get to try all this in action: how to mix songs, how to match them, how to cue, how to loop and more, both on a professional mixtable, and on a PC. In the second half of the week, you will learn how to pick the right songs, how to put together a full setlist on your own and learn how to communicate with your audience. Then when you are ready, you will get the chance to show off your skills in front of all the other campers!
Our teachers are young DJs who have been teaching with us for a number of years. The classes are very practical, run in small groups (4-5 people) and we provide all the equipment on site. DJ classes are held Mondays through Fridays, approx. 2 hours (110 minutes) a day. Besides the DJ classes, you can choose another class for your other 110-minute time slot: this may be an English class, Tennis, Sports or Dance (see below for the full list of possible combinations). In the afternoons, you’ll have loads of fun activities with other Funside campers.
