About the education
Classes at our Art Camp revolve around the creative ambitions involved in painting and drawing. Our camp curriculum was designed with older, 13 to 17 year-old campers in mind, with a deeper interest in drawing techniques, pencil, pastel, carbon and other tools, as well as portray or still life painting. Throughout the classes, our campers will learn about concepts, such as perspective, contrast, light and shadow, complementary colors and more. If you join us, you will be able to choose your own subject matters to work on and receive personalized feedback, all while working from the curriculum put together by our teacher.
At the end of each week, we open our own exhibition at the camp, where you can show off your work to other students and see what fellow art campers achieved during the same period. All equipment is provided by us and whatever you create you can take home at the end of the week. Given the time-consuming nature of painting and drawing, you will make more progress if you choose the Art Camp as a stand-alone subject with double classes a day, but if you would only like to get a taste of art, you have the option to combine Art class with another class of your choice (see the list below).
Are you not yet 13? Try our Arts & Craft Camp for campers aged 8-12! And from 12 years upwards, we offer our Design and Drawing Camp.
New content added to our class
This year, our art camp is expanding with an exciting new addition: the linocut technique! You can watch a short demonstration video about this technique here. This classic printmaking method allows campers to create their own designed prints. During the linocut process, our campers will learn how to carve patterns into linoleum, then coat these with ink to create unique prints.
This new element not only develops creativity but also enhances precise hand movements and spatial thinking, while adding another exciting artistic technique to the campers’ skills.
