About the education
Classes at our Art Camp revolve around the creative ambitions involved in painting and drawing. Our camp curriculum was designed with older, 13 to 17 year-old campers in mind, with a deeper interest in drawing techniques, pencil, pastel, carbon and other tools, as well as portray or still life painting. Throughout the 10 or 20 hours of classes held in a week-long session, our campers will learn about concepts, such as perspective, contrast, light and shadow, complementary colors and more. If you join us, you will be able to choose your own subject matters to work on and receive personalized feedback, all while working from the curriculum put together by our teacher.
At the end of each week, we open our own exhibition at the camp, where you can show off your work to other students and see what fellow art campers achieved during the same period. All equipment is provided by us and whatever you create you can take home at the end of the week. Given the time-consuming nature of painting and drawing, you will make more progress if you choose the Art Camp as a stand-alone subject with 4 classes a day, but if you would only like to test the waters first, you have the option to combine art classes with another class of your choice. With our unique system of camp combinations, you can choose to have 1 class of art a day, paired with 1 class of a foreign language, a sport or dance (see below).
