We believe that days spent in our summer camps give a great opportunity to show an environment-friendly view of the world to all our participants.<\/h2>\n<p>That is why we are planning some changes in our camps in favor of increasing environmental awareness and we are curious about our campers\u2019 ideas too! The following changes are already underway for 2019:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One of the most important changes this year is that we will implement<strong> recycling<\/strong>. We already collected plastic bottles in previous years, but we want to take it a step further, so we decided to install selective waste bins throughout the whole camp.<\/li>\n<li>During our <strong>afternoon and evening activities<\/strong>, we will keep away from using materials that are harmful to the environment: disposable plastic straws will be banned and non-degradable helium balloons will no longer be flown.<\/li>\n<li>Also, we would like to raise our campers\u2019 attention to the importance of using their own <strong>water bottles<\/strong>. We encourage them to bring their own to the camp, so we don\u2019t have to use plastic bottles. Also, it makes a lot easier to ensure ideal daily water consumption.<\/li>\n<li>Education is also very important in this matter, so throughout the camp we will pay special attention to raise awareness of the basic principles of an <strong>environmentally friendly mindset<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Also, the venue of Funside Balaton Camp, at Balatongy\u00f6r\u00f6k, will use make a move towards using <strong>solar energy<\/strong> from this year on. Starting in 2019, more than half of the electricity of the camp will be powered this way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"width: 608px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 599.2px;\"><strong>Interesting fact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Did you know, that even though we only use a straw for only 20 minutes, it can an take up to 500 years to decompose? That is why, we don\u2019t use any plastic straws in our camps.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>We encourage you to give your own ideas on how we can be even more environmentally friendly.
