During the world records-themed Week 4 of the 2014 Funside Balaton camp, after considerable practice, our campers and camp leaders all performed the popular choreography to the tune of the Anna Kendrick song titled ‘Cups’. The music was played live by the students of the Funside Balaton Music Camp, while were also joined by members of the local X-Factor runner-up band ByTheWay. After reviewing the several photos and video footage prepared at the event, the Hungarian Record Association concluded that our performance was a successful record attempt and granted us with the certificate for holding an official national record.<\/p>\n
According to the official report a total of 267 people performed the song successfully. The official certificate will be presented at the camp, in front of our campers, by the head of the Hungarian Record Association to representatives of Funside, during this year’s record-themed Week 4.<\/p>\n
Our short video of the Cup Song record, which can be seen below, has been viewed over 7000 times on YouTube, while local press also covered the event (such as Budapest Times and Daily New Hungary). This year we are planning to outdo our previous record by attempting something even more ambitious during Week 4. However, we are not yet revealing what that may be – you will have to wait until the camp begins to find out what we have in store for this summer’s big record attempt!<\/p>\n
