General Terms and Conditions for Funside day camps
1. As the parent or legal guardian of the child/children attending the camp (hereinafter referred to as: Parent), I hereby declare that my Child can attend – during the given time period and under the conditions stated below – the Funside Budapest Summer Day Camp (located at Flamenco Tennis Centre, Villanyi str. 11., 1114 Budapest). I understand that my Child can attend the camp only with my explicit permission and under the conditions stated below.
2. The Organizers of the Camp declare that they will act to the best of their knowledge to ensure the quality of the education and activities provided to the Child. By signing this Disclaimer, the Organizers of the Camp also declare that in the given period they will provide the participants of the Camp three meals a day, as well as beverages. The Organizers of the Camp declare that the Child may not leave the Camp in the absence of the Parents or without the explicit request or permission of the Parent. The Child may only be picked up from the Camp by the Parent or legal guardian, or any third person authorized by them. The Organizers of the Camp are only responsible as far as the obligations stated in the Camp Policy are concerned; in any other cases the responsibility relies solely on the Parent. Under the Civil Code of the Hungarian State, the Parent is liable for any possible damages to the Camp’s equipment or premises caused by the Child.
3. The Parent declares that he or she has listed all known illnesses of the Child in the Camp’s official sign-up form. The organizers of the Camp are not liable for any injuries caused by illnesses not stated in the sign-up form. By signing this Disclaimer, the Parent understands and declares that the Child will participate in sports and other activities at one’s own risk. The Organizers of the Camp are not liable for injuries resulting from these activities. If the Child is not a Hungarian citizen and therefore the Child is not entitled to Hungarian social security (TAJ) benefits, the Child must have a valid EU health insurance card, or travel and accident insurance for the entire duration of his or her stay at the Camp. If the child arrives to the camp with neither a valid TAJ card, nor a valid EU health insurance card, nor a certificate of travel insurance taken out for the entire duration of the camp, then the Organizers of the camp must refuse the child entry to the camp without a refund. In the event that the Child requires medical care during the camp, any costs that arise as the result of such care, that are not covered by the Child’s insurance, must be paid by the Parents. In case the Camp covers any such cost on the spot, the Parents must reimburse these costs by the end of the Child’s stay.
4. If the chosen camp is cancelled by the Organizers of the Camp for any reason, the Organizers of the Camp will issue a full refund, or on request may credit the camp fee towards another camp.
5. Cancellations: in case of cancellation due to illness or any other reason prior to the camp, there is a full refund (with only a 5% service fee deducted) if the cancellation happens up to 2 weeks before the given camp week. Parents may choose to exchange their camp week for another week, subject to availability, at no extra cost up to 2 weeks before the original camp week. If the cancellation happens later than the 2-week deadline, but before 5 pm on the last Wednesday before the camp week, then a 50% refund of the camp fees is issued. If the cancellation happens later than this deadline, no refund is issued. Cancellation must be confirmed in writing (via email, at budapest@funside.hu). Refunds are then issued within 30 days of the cancellation to the person who made the original payment. If the child cannot attend the camp due to illness and can verify this with a doctor’s note, than the original camp week may be exchanged, at no extra cost, if the camp is notified (via email, at budapest@funside.hu, with the doctor’s note attached to the email) by no later than midday on the last Friday before the camp week (doctor’s notes issues later will not be accepted).
In the case of the Camper getting ill during the Camp, forcing them to leave the Camp or spending time in isolation within the Camp, the Organisers cannot be held responsible and the illness does not provide ground for a refund.
If the authorities impose mandatory quarantine on the Camper and thus they cannot continue participating in a week which has already begun, there is no ground for a refund.
All changes to be possibly made due to legal/public health instructions do not provide grounds for a refund or an extraordinary cancellation.
6. By attending camps organized by the Funside Association, the Child receives a supporting membership of the association, valid until December 31.
7. Any photos or videos taken at the Camp are the property of the Camp. The Camp maintains all the rights. The parents accept that photos may be taken at programs or activities where the child participates.
8. The sign-up form, filled out on paper or electronically, is part of the Parental Disclaimer. The Camp holds no responsibility for the validity of the information provided by the parents or legal guardians on the sign-up form.
The present Parental Disclaimer is the official translation of the original Parental Disclaimer, written in the Hungarian language. In case of any disputes, the original Parental Disclaimer shall prevail.
Valid from: April 13, 2021.
